Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
Le PPL (Private Pilot Licence) is a licence that allows the holder to fly an aircraft privately, without remuneration. It is an internationally recognised certification that authorises its holder to fly as pilot-in-command on light aircraft, generally for non-commercial flights. The Private Pilot Licence is not registered with the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles (RNCP) and therefore does not include any specific blocks of skills.

Theory:
Written examination consisting of multiple-choice questions, organised by the Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile (DGAC).

Flight test with an approved examiner, assessing piloting skills, management of normal and emergency situations, and navigation.
The course is open to all, subject to obtaining a class 2 medical certificate. Special arrangements may be made for people with disabilities; it is advisable to contact the school to discuss the possibilities.

Financing :
The Private Pilot Licence is not generally eligible for the Compte Personnel de Formation (CPF). However, the school may offer financing solutions or payment facilities.

How long is a PPL licence valid for?
